WINNER! WINNER! WINNER!

Adult Summer Reading 2021 is officially over and we’re excited to announce the winners of our “reading” baskets.  This was a great program with over 1153 entries, this means our patrons were reading or listening to a lot of books.

Thanks to First Option Bank Trust Foundation (Baehr Grant) for helping us fund this awesome program for our adults.  Thanks also to Therapeutic Massage, Hooks & Deals, Beauty on Broadway, Stainbrooks, and Frankie’s for helping us get some really neat baskets for you to try to win.

Thursday, Aug. 12th update

Today is the last day for BINGO with the seniors at the library. Lunch at 11:50, BINGO at 12:30ish. We also have bags of school supplies for students. You may pick it up today or tomorrow. If you need school supplies, contact the library or contact Ray of Hope. Thanks to all the folks who donated to both drives and please make sure you come today or tomorrow to get you bag of school supplies.

Virtual Story Times will be held on Facebook Live on Monday, Wednesday and Friday starting June 2nd and running through August 20th.  If you want your child to have the craft packet to go along with the stories, you need to call me and sign up for packets.  I will not be making a bunch of packets ahead of time, I’ll only make packets for those who request them for the 12 weeks of Summer Programming.

STEM TIME FOR 2ND-5TH GRADERS JUST COMPLETED will be held on  Mondays from 10—10:45 starting June 14th some of the themed activities we will do deal with our “Tales & Tails” theme, we will also do science/technology/engineering/math activities.

Toddler Times will be Thursday from 9:30 to 10:00 with play time until 10:30.  We will be featuring animal tales and doing animal sounds & songs.  June 3, 10, 17, 24, July 1, 8, 15, 22.  This is for babies to 3 years old and will be in Kid’s Play Room.

SUMMER LIBRARY CAMP—MUST HAVE FINISHED 3RD GRADE THROUGH 6TH GRADE—JUN 7—11 (1 TO 4 PM) LIMITED TO THE FIRST 24 WHO SIGN UP.  MUST PLAN TO ATTEND ALL 5 DAYS. SNACKS WILL BE MADE AND SERVED. MAD SCIENCE WILL JOIN US EACH DAY from 1:15 to 2:15 with a program.  Other crafts and activities will center around their theme.

SUMMER ART CAMP —MUST HAVE FINISHED 4TH GRADE TO PARTICIPATE—JUNE 14—18—1 TO 4 PM—LIMITED TO 12 CHILDREN
Miss LaVeda has all kinds of fun activities planned for this week.  You will be doing Printing Fun, Weave Your Face, 3D faces, Improv, Water color basics, Whimsical Birds, Single Line drawing, Right/Left Brain drawing, Quicky Stories and more.  Sign ups soon, commit to the 5 days!

SUMMER COOKING CAMP—MUST HAVE FINISHED 3RD GRADE TO PARTICIPATE—JUNE 21—25 —2 TO 4 PM—LIMITED TO 20 CHILDREN.  We will be working with our extension ladies to learn some new recipes and techniques in the kitchen.  Please commit to all 5 days!
