Janet Reynolds began working at the library in June 1979, just after her junior year in high school.  She has worked in every aspect of the library during her 38 years as part of the staff.  In 2002, she returned to school and got her Library Media Specialists degree, as well as completing Level 6 of the State Library certification program.  Janet is involved with the Historical Society and started a Genealogy Group in 2011 to meet the needs of the community. Summer Reading, Summer Library Camp, Story Hour on the Road, and collaboration with the local schools to do Dr. Seuss and Kansas Reads to Preschool are some of her favorite library activities.  Janet likes to read Karen Kingsbury, Tracie Peterson, Jodi Picoult, and almost any of the Amish fiction stories.

  1. Debbie Seely says:

Howdy, howdy! Just checking in for the upcoming mini-golf partnership. This is Debbie Seely, I talked to Janet in the past. We are on track to pick up the golf set in the next few weeks. Our event is scheduled for July 14. Do you have a date chosen yet? We are still planning (hoping) to partner with you to be able to return the golf set to Beloit. I have
been in touch with Rachel at Port Library and we are set to be able to pick up week of June 20. So far, no one else has reserved it this summer–that is amazing to me. We hope to get it here and be able to embellish each hole to dress it up. My email is dseely@louisburglibrary.org. Our # is 913-837-2217. If you have any questions, please let me know. So excited to offer this to our respected patrons!
